Thank You!
(Thanks to Lee Starnes for taking and posting this picture)
Seriously: 1:30pm on Sunday, October 4th and I’m just getting home. This was a mind-blowing weekend and I need to get some sleep. Before I do, we at the A3C would like to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who made this event happen.
First and most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out and had a good time. You make this event possible and, without your support year-after-year, the A3C could never happen.
Second, thank you to all of the artists who came out to rock this year (all 200+). We know that you don’t do it for the money because, let’s face it, we don’t have very much to spend. You traveled from all over the country, some of you paying out of your own pockets, to perform with us. Incredible.
We could feel the love, dedication and selflessness at every showcase this weekend and it absolutely makes the A3C what it is.
Third, we would like to thank our sponsors, partners and venues for sharing our vision and bringing it into reach. We’ve come along way and we look forward to growing with you in 2010.
Finally, thank you to our exceptional staff of volunteers. You killed it. No major incidents, blow-ups, technical meltdowns, or the like. I hope you had a chance to at least see some of the shows you were looking forward to.
For anyone I’ve left out: thank you. I’m going to sleep.

AMAZING WEEKEND. i want to move to a city that is like that ALL THE TIME!!
Wow! Thank you to the A3C organizers for giving this community an alternative to the commercialized, mindless, drivel that seems to pervade the airwaves, music stores, market place (ok you get it). A3C was amazing and I just caught the tip of the iceberg. There was something for everyone. It was a beautiful weekend that brought together a myriad of races, genders, interests, and issues and I only hope that the event continues to grow year after year. I hope A3C continues attempt to produce quality entertainment on this scale. I felt like I had been transited back to 1985. I was a little young to go to concerts by myself then, but it was nice to get a second chance to see a really wonderful performance by the incomparable Rakim.
A3C, keep giving us the essence of hip hop. The rappers, the DJs, the graffiti, the dancers, the fashion. Amazing job Knotty Dread and all of the incredible people who work on this sorely needed event.
P.E.A.C.E. & THANK YOU A3C STAFF AND ARTISTS…MY WIFE AND I BOTH WERE IN HEAVEN FOR 3 DAYS/NIGHTS…ALREADY TELLIN PEOPLE TO GET READY FOR NEXT YEAR…PLEASE KEEP THIS EVENT GOIN…FOREVER!!!!!! BIGGUPS…YALL PROVED THAT HIPHOP IS ALIVE AND WELL IN ALL OF US….1
